Tv stuff mostly

All the world's a stage
And we are but players in it. - Will Shakespeare

If you had asked how i felt about blogging this time last year, i would have told you that school had already allowed me to yak-ka-ti-yak with my friends and that was enough 'kick' for me. In school we could see each other everyday and going out together was not a problem coz we had common meeting point.
Now, things are very different.
Mainly because we're scattered all over the place studying and serving the nation at different locations across the island.
The one place which we all do frequent is the web, so it does make for easier connect with one another. Even if there is some lag time in between comments. You don have to physically reach out to touch someone. Know?

Alamak~
My handphone is going bonkers on me.
One minute it is at full batt, the next, it switches off by itself.
Sometimes, getting more often, it hangs on me.
Total RUBBISH man! I can't stand it! ARGH~
Me thinks me better start saving u to buy a new phone.
But which model should i go for? O.o

I am have noticed that most of the good shows are being given very late time slots.
Alias & 24 - Late Monday nights
Without a Trace - Late Tuesday nights
CSI:Miami - Wednesday nights
N.C.I.S - Thursday nights
Law and Order - Sunday nights
Whose line is it anyway - late at night on a day i can't remember
I think its crap that i can't stay up all the time to catch these good shows. What's the point of getting the programme when it gets shown at such God forsaken hours?
I suppose that the powers that make the decisions of what to show at what time go by this formula:
Afternoon = Bad
Evening = Best
Night = Bestest
Honestly, by their time slots and my standards, i have come to my own equation:
Afternoon = good
Evening = *bleah*
Night = Most worth my time
After all that thinking i ask this question:
If the television broadcasters mean to give the impression that only the shows worth watching are given 'owl' time slots, then why doesn't Ch5 put Singapore Idol at 2am?

Title: Breakaway
Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I just stared out my window
Dreaming of a could-be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)
Trying not to reach out
But when I'd try to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I pray (I would pray)
I could breakaway
[Chorus:]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And breakaway
[Chorus:]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Buildings with a hundred floors
Swinging around wild indoors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but
Gotta keep moving on, moving on
Fly away, breakaway
I'll spread my wings
And I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye
I gotta take a risk
Take chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget the place I come from
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway, breakaway, breakaway

Heehee...some more lyrics!
This particular song is very close to my heart in that i first heard it when i came back from Australia. I feel that the lyrics echo my sentiments about living in Singapore and what i want for myself and will probably be doing in the future.
Most recently i heard it after i got my taekwondo results when i got down from the bus ... i was so 'pumped' i skipped and ran all the way home from the bus stop! Haha XD

I have some questions which i would like you lot to comment on.
Is it true that:
*eating too much at night will lead to one getting nightmares?
*eating fish eggs when young will lead to lousy mathemathical skills later in life?
*having a bath right after eating will lead to 'tua dou' aka blooted stomach?
*will you lose your memory if you change seats while eating?

You know that commercial where a boy and his sister stand infront of an open freezer and argue about which ice cream flavour to buy...u cn tell they have been doing it for quite a while coz their getting rather 'icey'..
Small boy(SB): Cookies and cream
Small girl(SG): No i want chocolate.
SB: Cookies and Cream!
SG: Chocolate!
SB: COOKIES AND CREAM!
SG: CHOCOLATE!
SB: MOOMMMMMYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime it gets screen on the tube, i immitate that boy-boi and end up laughing at myself until my tummy kanna stitch...lalala :p
